OVERVIEW
Visit Aurora’s Aurora Borealis Festival invites local food vendors to participate in the Flavors of Aurora Food Court. This event aims to bring together a diverse array of culinary offerings that celebrate the rich and varied flavors of our city. This event delivers an authentically local, world-class experience that is affordable, accessible, and fosters community pride in Aurora, Colorado.

VENDOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Vendor Fee
$500
Equipment & Décor Vendors are responsible for providing their own equipment, décor, and any additional setup required for their operations. Theme: Celebration of Light.
Power Vendors must supply their own, sound-insulated generators and fuel
Compliance Vendors must comply with all City of Aurora and Adams County Health and safety regulations, including providing the following documents before event day:

  • Colorado Sales Tax License or Special Event License

  • Aurora Sales Tax License

  • Certificate of Insurance (COI) with the following additional remarks, “Visit Aurora and Painted Prairie, their officers, directors, employees, contractors, and volunteers and the City of Aurora and Adams County, its elected and appointed officials, employees, and volunteers, are additional insured.”

  • Valid Mobile Retail Food License or Temporary Retail Food Establishment License

  • Beverage sales are prohibited by event organizer unless offering a culturally specific product, approved by event organizer in advance.

  • All food vendors are responsible for supplying their own tents, tables, and all other items required for their operations.

1. Culinary Diversity and Quality
Offer a unique and high-quality selection of food that reflects diverse culinary traditions
2. Presentation Ability to create an inviting and aesthetically pleasing booth
3. Experience Previous participation in similar events and festivals
4. Compliance Demonstrated capability to adhere to local health and safety regulations and guidelines

We are seeking up to 10 food trucks and 6 food tents.

Applications Close: Saturday, May 31, 2025
Decision Date: Friday, August 8, 2025

50% ($250) of the vendor fee and copies of necessary licenses will be due upon signing. The remaining 50% ($250) of the vendor fee will be due no later than August 8, 2025.

FAQs

  • We will be accepting up to 10 food trucks and 6 food tents (vendors must supply their own tent, tables, and equipment needed). The vendor must supply their own sound-insulated generators and fuel. Vendors must adhere to the County Health Department Guidelines and the City of Aurora Code Enforcement Guidelines.

    • Load In: Friday, October 10, 2025 from 1:00pm-3:00pm

    • Load Out: Saturday, October 11, 2025 from 10:00pm-12:00am

  • Vendor must be available for the full schedule. Hours of operation are mandatory and violators may face penalty fees.

    • Friday, October 10, 2025 from 4:00pm-10:00pm

    • Saturday, October 11, 2025 from 4:00pm-10:00pm

  • You will be informed of your status by July 3, 2025, at which point 50% ($250) of the vendor fee and copies of necessary licenses will be due. The remaining 50% ($250) will be due no later than August 8, 2025.

    *If you are a small business and would like to apply for a vendor fee scholarship, please answer “YES” to the final question in the vendor application and answer all questions that appear. The maximum benefit for a Flavors of Aurora Food Court vendor is 50% ($250) off your fee.
