Fairbanks Aurora Adventure Sweepstakes Official Rules

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.

1. SPONSOR:

The Fairbanks Aurora Adventure ("Sweepstakes") is sponsored by Explore Fairbanks and Alaska Airlines ("Sponsor").

2. ELIGIBILITY:

The Sweepstakes is open to legal residents of the United States who are at least 21 years old at the time of entry. Employees of the Sponsor, its affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising, promotion agencies, and their immediate family members are not eligible to participate. Void where prohibited by law.

3. SWEEPSTAKES PERIOD:

The Sweepstakes begins at 12:00 AM on September 10, 2024, and ends at 11:59 PM on November 3, 2024 ("Sweepstakes Period"). All entries must be received during the Sweepstakes Period to be eligible.

4. HOW TO ENTER:

To enter the Sweepstakes, participants must complete a timed entry and will be redirected to a sweepstakes landing page. An additional chance to win can be obtained by stopping by the Explore Fairbanks booth at the Aurora Borealis Festival.

5. PRIZE:

One (1) Grand Prize winner will receive an aurora adventure package for two to Fairbanks, Alaska, during their “Aurora Season” from August 21st to April 21st for either 2024/2025 or 2025/2026 which includes:

a. Two round-trip DEN-FAI vouchers donated by Alaska Airlines.

b. A two-night stay for two at Borealis Basecamp in one of their “Aurora igloos” to include winter excursions; specifics will be provided upon winner selection and subject to availability.

c. An Arctic Circle Aurora Fly/Drive Adventure with Northern Alaska Tour Company, featuring a guided round-trip winter journey by air and land across the Arctic Circle with aurora viewing at the historic community of Wiseman and overnight at Coldfoot Camp.

d. An additional two-night stay at another hotel property in Fairbanks

e. Additional tours and activities in Fairbanks to potentially include other aurora tours, ice fishing, dog sled rides, taking a walk through the forest with a herd of reindeer, and passes to local museums.

Approximate Retail Value ("ARV") of the Grand Prize: $7,000

6. PRIZE CONDITIONS:

Prize is non-transferable and no substitution will be made except as provided herein at the Sponsor’s sole discretion. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute the prize for one of equal or greater value if the designated prize should become unavailable for any reason. Winner is responsible for all taxes and fees associated with prize receipt and/or use. Travel must be completed either between August 21st and April 21st of 2024/2025 or 2025/2026.

7. WINNER SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION:

The winner will be selected in a random drawing from all eligible entries received during the Sweepstakes Period. The drawing will be conducted on or about November 5, 2024, by the Sponsor or its designee, whose decisions are final and binding. The winner will be announced on Friday, November 8, 2024, and notified by email within 7 days of the drawing. If the winner cannot be contacted, fails to respond within 14 days of notification, or is disqualified for any reason, the Sponsor may select an alternate winner.

8. GENERAL CONDITIONS:

By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor, which are final and binding in all respects. Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, suspend, and/or modify the Sweepstakes, or any part of it, if any fraud, technical failures, or any other factor beyond Sponsor’s reasonable control impairs the integrity or proper functioning of the Sweepstakes, as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion.

9. LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY:

Sponsor is not responsible for: (1) any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by entrants, printing errors, or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Sweepstakes; (2) technical failures of any kind, including, but not limited to, malfunctions, interruptions, or disconnections in phone lines or network hardware or software; (3) unauthorized human intervention in any part of the entry process or the Sweepstakes; (4) technical or human error which may occur in the administration of the Sweepstakes or the processing of entries; or (5) any injury or damage to persons or property which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from entrant’s participation in the Sweepstakes or receipt or use or misuse of any prize.

10. DISPUTES:

Except where prohibited, entrant agrees that: (1) any and all disputes, claims, and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Sweepstakes or any prize awarded shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by the appropriate court located in Arapahoe County, Colorado; (2) any and all claims, judgments, and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering this Sweepstakes, but in no event attorneys’ fees; and (3) under no circumstances will entrant be permitted to obtain awards for, and entrant hereby waives all rights to claim, indirect, punitive, incidental, and consequential damages and any other damages, other than for actual out-of-pocket expenses, and any and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased.
